14th July 2006 Windsurfing: Ynyslas Estuary Wind Direction: NE Wind Stength: F4-5 - F3 Surf / Sea State: Air Temperature: 24C Sea Temperature: Weather: Sunny Max Speed: Distance Covered: Went out for an estuary session as the forecast was for E or NE F3 or F4-5. Arrived just before high tide and it was blowing 15-20knots so rigged up my new 6.9m and flow. Once on the water the wind dropped so after a few attempts to get going I swopped fin tfrom a 32cm to a 40cm but that didn't help much so out came the big-big board with 58cm fin! Still no good with the 6.9m so it had to be the 9.0m. That did the trick and then on I was hurtling up and down the channel. Good fun, shame I couldn't sail the smaller stuff but still a nice little session in the sunshine. Had a walk over the beach front as it was such a nice day and had a chat to Nick who was kiting. Better than working on a Friday ;-) |
